Barakah Halal Hub Co. Ltd. is a Halal industry service company authorized by Malaysia’s Barakah Capital Holding Sdn. Bhd. to operate in Taiwan. The main goal is making use of the international resources of Barakah organizations to promote Taiwan’s finely made Halal products in the vast Muslim consumer market.
Barakah Capital Holding Sdn. Bhd. (the “BCH”) was established in Kuala Lumpur by Mdm Marlina Wong in 2012. Marlina has more than 20 years of cooperation with the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM). BCH has assembled a group of elites who practices Islamic virtues and jointly work on promoting the Barakah Halal Essences in the aspects of “Theological, Hearty, Physical, and Spiritual” values. The elite group includes various internationally known Minister-level leaders.
Upon delivering the expression of Taiwan Government to Dr. Sirajuddin Suhaimee, Director of JAKIM Halal Hub Division, proposed an effective solution that Barakah may submit to JAKIM directly, on behalf of Taiwan manufacturers, for the applications of the renowned Malaysian Halal Certificates.
With the expectation of the government agencies of both Taiwan and Malaysia, Barakah Halal Hub Co. Ltd. was established on February 14, 2018. Barakah has had already issued many “Barakah Halal Certificates” in accordance to the rigorous Malaysia Halal standards, as well as successfully obtained various Malaysian Halal Certifications issued by JAKIM since then.
To facilitate the healthy development of Taiwan’s Halal industries, Barakah has entered a cooperation partnership with the “Malaysia International Halal Academy”, an advocate by JAKIM, to jointly promote the righteous Halal knowledge.
Halal Development Corporation (the “HDC”), the driving force of Malaysian Halal economy, has been frequently invited by various Taiwan government agencies to provide guidance for Taiwan’s Halal industry development. After in-depth due diligence, especially on the technical capacity and integrity, of various Taiwan’s Halal organizations, HDC has established official, comprehensive, partnership relationship with Barakah Halal Hub in April 2020.
